In 2017, the Hinesville Housing Authority completed 3 themes of a 5-year strategic plan to guide the growth of the organization. The organization also continued pursuing two sets of goals and action steps for the remaining 2 themes.
The current plan is effective for 2017–2020 and focuses on the following areas:

Real Estate Project Development and Expansion
Safety, Facility and Property Management, Maintenance & Landscaping Services
As of September 2019, the Hinesville Housing Authority is pleased to announce the following strategic accomplishments:
Created the Liberty County Community Housing Development Organization (LCCHDO) to enhance development of more affordable housing for Liberty County and the Coastal Region.
Completed three Strategic Planning Themes within two years of a three year planning cycle:
- THEME #1: Education, Training and Resident Services Development
- THEME #2: Organizational and Administrative Development
- THEME #5: Safety, Facility and Property Management, Maintenance & Landscaping Services
Developed a Child Safety Plan and coordinated with local public safety partners to assist the Authority, the residents and the children to practice safe and secure behavior at all times for the well being of the resident families.
Developing Liberty Landings, a new senior adult living venue, is being developed and should be opening in late October or early November 2019 for senior residents.
Completed a Branding Style Guide to protect the integrity and consistency of the new brand.
Completed annual twelve (12) hours of Board Training by the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors of the LCCHDO.
THEME #4: Real Estate Project Development and Expansion was finalized for the HHA and has evolved into Theme # 1 Real Estate Project Development and Expansion for the newly created LCCHDO and is being actively developed.
THEME #3: Partnership Development, Public Relations and Marketing is expected to be completed by December 15, 2019 at which time a Public Relations Theme will be developed for the LCCHDO.
