Our goal in the Resident Initiatives and Development Services department is to provide a continual learning experience for residents and families. We are always looking to create programs that meet the needs of the residents so that they may become self-sufficient. Currently, several programs are offered by Hineshouse Property Management & Maintenance Services to ensure residents thrive while staying with us.
After School Program
Each academic year, students who reside in Hinesville Housing Authority properties are eligible for free childcare after school. The program includes homework assistance, an afternoon snack, and social activities. Students meet at the Regency Park Community Center from 2:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
Summer Camp
The focus of the Hineshouse Summer Experience camp is to keep children active during the summer months. We incorporate fun educational activities, and provide three well-balanced meals each day to create a superb learning experience. The 2020 summer camp will be June 1–July 31. We only have space for 50 children so spots are filled on first come first serve basis. Make sure you apply early when registration opens in Spring 2020.
Career Services
Beyond housing, employability is an important step to become self-sufficient. We provide residents classes and assistance with G.E.D., college placement, resumes, cover letters, job search, and interview skills. Whatever is needed to ensure that residents are gainfully employed, we make sure they have access to it.
Holiday Events
Throughout the year, several events are organized to celebrate together. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for the families to come together as a community for a joyous occasion. Annual events include a Fall Festival, Spring Fling, Thanksgiving Meal, Graduation Party, and more.
All donations and contributions made to HPMMS will be used for programming to include supplies, educational materials, field trips, etc. None of the funds donated will be used for the staff’s salary.
